Most of you know I got a sewing maching for Christmas from my lovely husband! I am a begining sewer, with alot to learn for sure! But I love searching different blogs and websites for great tutorials and patterns! Since I am such a beginer I am trying not to spend alot of money on fabrics I may mess up. With that I bought this cute little .77 cent pillowcase at the local thrift store (I should have gotten this cute little vintage pillowcase I saw but Lu insisted she liked the butterfly one better, I may have to go back tomorrow for the other one)
Anyhow, I took this pillowcase and turned it into...
A cute little drawstring skirt for Lu, if it were summertime it'd be PERFECT, however she loves to play dress up, and right now she is trotting around wearing it, with a tiarra and dangily "costume jewlry" not bad for .77 cents right? I have enough fabric left over to put some embellishments on a white or purple t-shirt to match, and make a cute little matching purse!Linked up to Round Robin!
This is very cute... especially with the thought of a shirt and purse to match! Do you have a link to a tutorial or instructions for making a skirt like this?
