Quick Easy Donuts!

Okay, so seriously I could of waited and saved this for Kids in The Kitchen this Thursday, but you guys have no idea how simple and delish these are, so I decided to share RIGHT AWAY! Lets just say this much, I like to be on time to EVERYTHING and if I am a minute late than I am freaking out, weekends are the worst, because even though church starts at 11:00 yes I did say 11:00 o'clock which is nearing the afternoon, I hate cooking breakfast, thats right people I am not a breakfast cooker, so while running out the door at 10:30 we always stop and grab something, well I am into budgeting lately *well ever since making the choice to be a stay at home mom* I figured that I could make something just as good, and cheaper, so when I saw this recipe I had to give it a try. It cost me .59 cents YES thats what I said, all I needed were biscuits, I had the rest ... and they were DELISH, everyone GOBBLED them up and there were ALOT of donuts from that little can of bicuits...

So heres what you'll need...

*1 tube of biscuits (I bought store brand, buttermilk) do not get flaky or extra thick biscuits, they'll be to doughy

*1/2 cup oil (canola or vegtable)

*cinnimon and sugar mixture

*small circle cutter (get this I used a medicine cup that comes with childrens tylenol they work GREAT)

And this became a family cooking session, so much fun! I put the oil in a nice big pan on medium heat, Lu and I took the med cups, pressed out a donut hole, right in the middle of each biscuit, we gave them to Josh and he put them in pan, they do not take LONG, so watch carefully, and once they are golden on one side flip to the other side (use tongs they are EASY to work with), when they were done, he handed them back to Lu and I and with the donut holes we put them in a small bag and shook in the sugar/cinnimon mixture, and the bigger donuts we put in a bowl and put the mixture on them!

This didn't take long at all, and was better than the FAST FOOD! so glad we made them. Next time I will glaze them with a powdered sugar/milk glaze ... ooohh and maybe a little chocolate too!!! so many variations to this, we may have donuts all the time!!! I am watching my budget not my waist HAHAHA!

I thought these were so good I wanted to share them over at Tempt My Tummy Tuesdays, to see more tempting foods go here!
