Muffin Tin Monday- All About Me

Today's Muffin Tin Monday theme is "all about me" the items I put in the tin were all non edible but are food items from the pantry (minus the paint) DON'T STOP READING YET! I know Muffin Tin Monday was intended to get kids excited about food, but I struggle on a weekly basis since Lu goes to school, its either snack or dinner and to plan a dinner around a theme can be quite tricky. I was trying the breakfast route for a while and things turned out cute, but if you read my blog you know my Lu is NOT and I repeat NOT a morning person so I try to wake her up late as possible! However with our "food items" we made Lu and she turned out cute! In our tin:
Top: Jumbo Shell, Lasgna noodle (in half), penne noodles, angel hair noodles
Middle: Paint yellow & red, bow tie noodles, a couple skittles, walnut and gummy bear (all for accessories see the last picture)
Bottom: Paint purple, blue, orange, pink
I just gave the tin to Lu and told her to do with what she pleases and make the noodles into "her" and so she set to work. (she asked me to glue the skittle eyes on which I hot glued) and she said she needed red lipstick bc I never let her wear any. LOL
She painted the Lasgna purple and made that her shirt, she used 2 rotinis for jeans and 2 for her arms. She used angel hair for her hair, a bow tie in her hair, and the gummy bear for her purse, I put it there thinking she'd carry a "bear" around bc she loves stuffed animals however she took an angel hair and stuck it onto the bear for its "purse straps" She also broke in half a mike and ike and used them for her shoes (pink ones at that) *the picture doesn't show her purse bc she added it last minute*
Doesn't it resemble her quite a bit?? I actually love it! So glad we did something out of the ordinary! And she still got her Muffin Tin Monday! She didn't say one word about not getting to eat a thing! She was too proud of her person to notice!!!
*What is quite funny is I didn't direct her at all on which body parts to use, and what I had in my mind was actually different but even my 6 yr old exceeding my expectations on what you could do with noodles she did such a great job!*
